Edit a Shared Schema in Data Grid

Edit a shared schema field

Data Grid edits the same branch model used by Unified. Renaming a field here changes that field; it does not make a separate grid-only copy.

1. Open Data Grid and find the entity and field you want to edit.
2. In the field row, click the value under Name, enter the new name, then press Enter. Press Escape to cancel an edit before committing it.
3. Switch to Unified and open the view containing that schema. Confirm the field displays the new name there too.

The grid row and canvas field represent the same model item. Other fields or relationships are unchanged by a name edit.
